Dale is the project consultant for the North Carolina Bar Association's endorsement of Consultwebs.com, Inc., as the only Web consulting firm endorsed by the North Carolina Bar Association's Technology Assistance Program (TAP.) The program was designed to offer NCBA members quality legal technology consulting at members-only rates. The consultants participating in the TAP program were reviewed and selected by the North Carolina Bar Association Technology Advisory Committee. Other legal activities include membership in the Law Practice Management and the Administrative Law & Regulatory Practice sections of the American Bar Association.  Dale was an accredited LawCommerce T³ (Top Tier) Consultant.  LawCommerce technologists are chosen from legal consultants having a positive history of service within the legal profession, high-quality client references and approval by the LawCommerce selection committee.

Dale's published articles include local and national legal periodicals. His speaking/training engagements include teaching more than 1,000 CLE students in the past year for The North Carolina Bar Association, its sections and other U.S. legal associations. He was a featured speaker on Internet topics for the 1997, 1998 and 1999 North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers Annual Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Convention. Dale also addressed the Association of Legal Administrators, the North Carolina Association of Black Lawyer's, The North Carolina Bar Association General Practice Section, several local law school classes, the North Carolina Association of Community Colleges, the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, North Carolina Association of Rehabilitation Facilities, the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers.  He has co-presented with national organizations.

Dale was engaged to join the faculty of the annual American Bar Association, ABA Tech Show, Chicago, Illinois, March 30th through April 1st, 2000 as a panelist on three Internet panels, discussing Web design and functionality.  Additionally, he served on three panels during for the American Bar Association, LegalTech Atlanta, November 30th - December 1, 2000 show.  Training courses included a two-day FrontPage Web design class for the New Mexico National Guard.  Dale participated as a member of the faculty for the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers' "Time and Technology" session February 23, 2001.  Dale's presentation (3:15 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.) was, "Using the Internet to Market your Firm."  Dale was a Special Guest Speaker for the NCBWWA's 65th Annual Convention May 20 - 23, 2001.  Dale continues to teach numerous NCBA CLE courses and was engaged  for two speaking engagements at the North Carolina Bar Association's 2001 Annual Meeting June 21-24, 2001 at the Grove Park Inn, Asheville, NC. He was also a guest speaker for the State Bar of Georgia's June 13-17th annual meeting at the Kiawah Island Resort, Kiawah Island, SC.  Other seminars included an American Lawyer Media Event panel presentation at LegalTech New Orleans, December 6, 2001 and an Intranet and Extranet seminar sponsored by LegalTech New York February 5, 2002.  Dale participated in three Internet, Intranet and Extranet panel sessions during LegalTech Los Angeles May 9-10, 2002 and presented an Internet development session for the Missouri Bar Association Friday, June 14, 2002 at Lake Ozarks, Missouri as well as Intranet and Extranet sessions sponsored by LegalTech in New York September 19th and 20th, 2002, sessions at the Wisconsin Bar Association 5, 2002 and LawTech 2003, the Tennessee Bar Association in January 2003 and the North Carolina Bar Association's Bar Leadership Conference February 21, 2003, numerous North Carolina Bar Association CLE training sessions and an engagement to speak at two sessions at the North Carolina Bar Association's annual meeting.  Dale was a principal speaker at Lawyers Marketing's 3-day Las Vegas conference in October 2003.  He spoke at two sessions of the Milwaukee Bar Association's annual Wisconsin Law & Technology Conference & Expo November 18, 2003.  Dale was engaged to speak at the Midwest Law & Technology Conference, back-to-back technology sessions conducted by the Milwaukee and Chicago Bar Associations on November 31st and December 1, 2004.  Dale provided hands-on PowerPoint training for Virginia Continuing Legal Education sessions May 11th in Fairfax, VA and May 12th, 2005 in Richmond, Va. He spoke on a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Web marketing at the American Bar Association (ABA) Techshow, April 2, 2005, a Catalyst 100 marketing session in Las Vegas, NV, April 21st and 22nd, 2005 and Myrtle Beach. SC September 2005 and presented a Web Marketing workshop at the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers' annual convention in 2005. Dale has consulted with numerous businesses and law firms regarding the functionality and search engine effectiveness of their Internet systems and Web sites, as well as developing their Web sites. Dale is a leading expert in Web site promotion and is the author of the PromoteWebs Web site and co-author of the Law Web Marketing site. He is frequently quoted in leading national periodicals, including an issue of Fortune Small Business.  He was one of two judges for Law Office Computing's 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 Best Large Firm Legal Web Sites contest and a judge for the 2006 North Carolina and South Carolina Lawyers Weekly's Law Firm Web site contest.
